Cecilia Preciado focuses her practice on professional malpractice defense and complex commercial litigation. She has both first and second chair trial experience. She has been practicing law for 19 years and working with Alan Schonfeld, SBP and its predecessor firms for over 17 years.

Ms. Preciado was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. She was admitted to the California Bar, the U.S. District Court, Southern District, in 1992; the U.S. District Court, Central District, in 1993; and the U.S. District Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, in 2000. She earned her B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of San Diego in 1988, and her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1992, where she was a member of the Law Review. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Defense Lawyers, the San Diego La Raza Lawyer’s Association, and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
